The Death Ray (comics) : ウィキペディア英語版
The Death-Ray

''The Death Ray'' is a graphic novel by American cartonnist Daniel Clowes that first appeared in issue 23 of Clowes's comic book ''Eightball'' in 2004, and then as a standalone book in 2011.
The story takes place in Chicago in the 1970s and is about the skinny Andy who discovers that smoking gives him super strength. He arms himself with a ray gun and sets out to deal justice on those that had bullied him. The superhero storyline was unusual for Clowes, he known for low-key stories about ordinary, if neurotic, personalites.
In 2012, ''The Death Ray'' won a Harvey Award for Best Graphic Album of Previously Published Work.〔("Congratulations to the Harvey Award Recipients" )〕
